5.0" Model 451 CPM MAGNACUT FIXED BLADE

5.0" Model 451 CPM MAGNACUT full-tang fixed blade field knife, designed and made by Freeman Outdoor Gear LLC.

The 3/16" thick CPM MAGNACUT full tang blade features a main scallop-machined flat grind. The fuller on both sides of the blade panel reduces weight and adds a purchase point for multiple grips and usage scenarios. Edges around the handle are chamfered for comfort with a hard-edge spine and pommel useful for bushcraft and survival tasks.

The exposed pommel with jimping also acts as a flat hammering surface and includes a lanyard attachment hole sized for 550 cord.

The blade is heat treated and double tempered to a hardness of 61-62 Rc and the cutting edge is ground razor sharp at a 34 degree included angle (17 degrees per side).

The handle scales are 3D CNC machined and contoured from tough G-10 or Burlap Micarta with palm swell and machined texturing for a secure and comfortable grip. The handle shape provides an ergonomic and balanced grip for use in multiple positions. Enhanced parrot's beak pommel and lower front guard aid in blade retention during chopping. Both the guard and pommel feature machined slots for additional user-added lanyard cord attachment points. Stainless steel and black oxide coated hardware lock all the components into place.

Included is a custom leather sheath made by Grey Leather Co in Eugene, Oregon. Sheath allows for both vertical and horizontal carry and comes with a ferro rod holder and striker.
